I saw the live-action Aladdin as well; I didn't really have any high or low expectations, I checked it out solely on curiosity. Still, I gotta say I also thought it was pretty good, and for some reason I find Will Smith's rendition of "Arabian Nights" really catchy.

I heard rumors that Smith was set to return for a sequel to the first film, but given the fallout from his MAJOR fuck-up at the Oscars with Chris Rock and the poor reception to the sequel to the original animated Aladdin film, I'm pretty those rumors will be put to rest soon, if they haven't already been.
