I totally get you on Majors' recasting compared to Boseman's -- straight up apples and oranges case right there. Boseman had left behind such a positive legacy and touched so many people with his performances not just as King T'Challa/Black Panther, but real-life cultural icons for Black empowerment like Jackie Robinson (his personal hero, whom he spoke of shortly in 2020 before passing away) and James Brown. Not recasting Chadwick was the right decision, because it would have been seen as an insult to that legacy and would've sparked massive backlash from Black communities worldwide. Feige would NOT have been able to withstand a global backlash of that magnitude, especially given that it was only about two years since Black human rights were brutally assaulted in America to the horror of the world.

Majors, on the other hand, is a presence that NEEDS to disappear from Marvel Studios. He's become a patron saint of misogyny, a sentiment that's relentlessly attacking women's rights worldwide, which the film Barbie raised awareness to last summer. And of course, Mickey Mouse himself does not look kindly on those who champion domestic violence and the exploitation, brutality, and objectification of women. The Mouse is already royally pissed off from Florida right now, so Feige would be wise not to arouse his anger further.
