Okay, today is officially another dark day in Bat-Mythos. My friends, we just lost the original voice actress for fan favorite Harley Quinn: Arleen Sorkin. Good Lord, how many more game-changer actors/actresses are we gonna lose before this cruddy year ends? How could I not know about this?

I just hope Mark Hamill stays with us for at least another 6-7years or whatever... Honestly broken by this news.

She was the only actress who actually SOUNDED like Harley Quinn. None of the other actresses got the subtleties and nuances of the character Sorkin did (Margot Robbie in particular was an embarrassment). She's been retired from the role for years and yet was still somehow irreplaceable.

Indeed. Just like Kevin Conroy WAS Bruce Wayne/Batman (yes, he's even above all live-action actors portraying the duo character to me), Arleen Sorkin WAS Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn. It seems like the most revered characters of the Bat-Mythos were portrayed by voice actors in the original (read: quintessential) animated series, cementing the fact that Batman: The Animated Series was the true representation of Bob Kane's Caped Crusader's Crusade.

*salutes* Godspeed, Mrs. Sorkin.

I was blindsided by this one too. And at 67? We've lost a lot of good people in the entertainment industry, and the corporate CEOs are sharting all over their graves AND their legacies.
